Sudden Infant, better known as Joke Lanz was born in Basel, Switzerland. Lanz uses contact microphones, loops, tapes, etc. to create a very different and original sound that goes far beyond the borders of a music performance and that can’t be put into words.

The band started as a collaboration between George Clarke and Kerry McCoy but evolved in a five-piece band after receiving positive critics on their untitled demo released in 2010. Chaos of the Haunted Spire began when Andrew Claes (Brazzaville, Hamster Axis of the one-click Panther) and Teun Verbruggen (Gowk, Othin Spake, Blow Nozzle, Flat Earth Society, Jef Neve, Noo Noisy Fish) first met. Six Organs of Admittance is the primary musical project of guitarist Ben Chasny. Chasny’s music is largely guitar-based and is often considered new folk, however it includes obvious influences, marked by the use of drones, chimes, and eclectic percussive elements. James Blackshaw is a Hastings-based guitarist and pianist, born in 1981. Blackshaw primarily plays an acoustic 12 string guitar and has been compared to Bert Jansch, Robbie Basho, John Fahey, Jack Rose, and Leo Kottke. On 2012-04-09 came HYPE WILLIAMS to De Kreun. Hype Williams, the band, is named after the film maker responsible for Belly. Starring rappers Nas and DMX, it was a hyper-stylised, Nihilist mess and this London duo borrow its finer traits, its strut and loathing. Onstage, online, and on film, the band likes to maintain an aura of cut-and-paste mystery.

Oldseed is the solo songwriting efforts of one craig bjerring. originally from canada, oldseed’s extensive touring has dragged him all over the “affluent north”. primarily playing europe due to the relative ease of travel and coolness of the people, oldseed currently makes germany his homebase.

With an acoustic guitar and a croon that crams the lilt, lift and longing of several lives well lived into 5-some-odd minutes of every song this live show would not only not have been possible at any other point in either his life, or ours for that matter, than now, it also seems to suggest the shape of beyond-now: thin and on fire. Enjoy it.
